Bidfood sells 73,975 m² of land in Ede to ProDelta Real Estate Development

ProDelta Real Estate Development has purchased more than 7 hectares of land from Bidfood at Frankenweg in Ede. Bidfood has had the old buildings on the site demolished in a circular demolition process. The steel structure of the former high warehouse was dismantled and is now being used to build two new warehouses in the Netherlands. Other demolition materials are also being reused as building materials and recycled aggregates.

ProDelta is to develop a hypermodern, gas-free logistics complex on this plot, with a minimum BREEAM Excellent certification. The building will also obtain WELL certification. The entire logistics complex will comprise more than 42,000 m2 of warehouse space distributed across four units. Building is planned to start in May 2021.

A striking feature in this new building will be the clear stacking height. ProDelta will be one of the first developers in the Netherlands to achieve a clear stacking height of 15.20 metres, in anticipation of the rising scarcity of suitable commercial sites in the Netherlands.
